Athiya began her acting career with her debut film Hero in 2015 with the Nikhil Advani director. In this movie, her co-actor was Suraj Pancholi, and produced by Salman Khan (a renowned Bollywood star). Her first film earned Rs. 34.82 crore or $4 million. Feedback from the Bollywood Hungama website wrote that ″Shetty needs some more time to improve her acting skills″.
